Jannik Sinner made history by winning the Miami Open and becoming the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 to complete the 'Sunshine Double'.
The Italian defeated Jiri Lehecka 6-4 6-4 to make his mark as the first player to win at Indian Wells and Miami in the same season without dropping a set.
Sinner won 92 per cent of his first-serve points and saved all three break points he faced en route to a stunning victory.
He has now won 34 consecutive sets at ATP Masters 1000 level and improved his 2026 record to 19-2.
"We did a lot of work to be in this position, so I'm really, really happy, and I'm also happy to go back home now," Sinner said after the match.
"Making the Sunshine Double here for the first time, it's incredible. It's something I would have never thought, because it's difficult to achieve, and we made it somehow, so I'm very happy."
The world No 2 is only the eighth man to win back-to-back titles at Indian Wells and Miami.
The 24-year-old Italian, who beat Daniil Medvedev last week for his first Indian Wells crown, endured a lengthy rain delay en route to securing his second Miami title.
Lehecka lost his serve for the first time in the tournament to trail 3-1 in the opening set and saved two set points at 5-3 down before Sinner served out to take it in 47 minutes.
Play was suspended for 80 minutes just three points into the second set, but the delay did nothing to dampen Sinner's clinical performance.
He did not face a break point as he swept through the second set, wrapping up the title in 93 minutes.
Sinner joined a club that, in addition to Federer, also includes Novak Djokovic, Andre Agassi, Marcelo Rios, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang and Jim Courier to win Indian Wells and Miami back to back.
"I tried to stay solid in very different conditions today, it was very heavy so it's tough to go through the player," Sinner said.
"I tried to stay solid in important moments and I'm very happy to take this [trophy] home with me."
Tim Henman, speaking on Your Site Tennis:
"An incredible performance and it's just been relentless. It wasn't straightforward with weather conditions, there were interruptions, there was a delayed start but, as he's done time and time again, he gets the lead and is just relentless in all aspects of his game. He's a worthy, worthy champion."
Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli said: "He has so much trust in his team and the understanding that he wants to stay at the top of the game he has to keep on improving all the time because when you stay still, you actually go backwards.
"It takes a lot of courage and sacrifices to put those hard yards on the court. They're tough sessions but he also mentioned that he's capable of playing so well that gives him the pride and the joy from the reward of his work. [He is an] absolutely incredible champion and very worthy."
A seven-time ATP Masters 1000 champion, Sinner now trails world No 1 Carlos Alcaraz by 1,190 points in the ATP Live Rankings after making a statement this month.
